PSF Delegation Concludes Successful Official Visit to China to Strengthen Scientific and Technological Cooperation
A high-level delegation of the Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF), led by the Chairman, successfully concluded an official visit to Wuhan and Yichang, People’s Republic of China, from 6th to 10th January 2026, with the objective of strengthening bilateral cooperation in science, technology, academia, and industry.
During the visit, the PSF delegation held constructive engagements with leading Chinese universities and industry partners to explore opportunities for joint research, academic collaboration, technology transfer, and capacity building.
As part of the academic outreach, the delegation visited Wuhan Textile University (WTU), where discussions focused on collaborative research initiatives, faculty and student exchange programs, and innovation-driven partnerships in textile sciences and related disciplines.
To strengthen industry collaboration, the PSF delegation visited Hubei Hanway Ecological Agriculture Technology Corp., Ltd., where discussions centered on ecological agriculture, sustainable technologies, and potential cooperation in agri-technology research and innovation.
The PSF delegation also visited Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), one of China’s premier research universities. The meeting emphasized cooperation in advanced scientific research, emerging technologies, and joint academic programs, with a shared commitment to fostering long-term institutional linkages.
In addition, the delegation held meetings at Wuhan Technology and Business University (WTBU), where avenues for collaboration in applied sciences, entrepreneurship, and industry-academia linkage were discussed.
The visit marks an important step in enhancing Pakistan–China cooperation in science and technology, reinforcing PSF’s commitment to promoting international collaboration for scientific advancement, innovation, and sustainable development.
