Essay and Poster Competitiion
Organizing Science Essay and Poster Competitions is a regular and highly successful activity of the Foundation. PSF, in collaboration with all Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) across the country, conducts these competitions annually for high school students. To date, the Foundation has organized 23 such contests, attracting participation from thousands of students nationwide.
In the first phase, the Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education organize Science Essay and Poster Competitions within their respective jurisdictions on themes approved by PSF and submit the results of the intra-board level to the Foundation. After receiving results from all boards, PSF conducts the ‘Inter-Board Contest’ (the final round) at its Head Office in Islamabad each year.
A panel of judges, comprising professors, scientists, and artists, evaluates the essays and posters submitted from across the country to determine the top three positions (‘winners of the winners’). To encourage student participation, PSF awards merit certificates and cash prizes. At the Intra-Board level, the top three students receive Rs. 5,000, Rs. 3,000, and Rs. 2,000, respectively, while at the Inter-Board (final) level, the prizes are Rs. 10,000, Rs. 6,000, and Rs. 4,000, respectively.
