Science Fairs

Organizing Science and Technology (S&T) fairs and expos is one of the key and continuous science-popularization activities of the Pakistan Science Foundation. These events are designed to spark public curiosity, especially among students, by presenting science in an engaging, interactive, and accessible manner. Through exhibits, demonstrations, and displays, the fairs provide a platform where people can see how scientific ideas are applied in real life, how new technologies work, and how research contributes to solving national challenges. They also help highlight the progress, innovations, and achievements of Pakistan’s scientific and research institutions, allowing the public to better understand the contributions these organizations make to national development.

Over the years, the Foundation has organized major national-level events—including four National Science and Technology Fairs and two S&T Expos—along with numerous smaller exhibitions across the country. Each event brings together universities, research institutes, science clubs, innovators, and young students to showcase projects, experiments, prototypes, and scientific models. These gatherings encourage knowledge sharing, inspire young minds to pursue scientific careers, and create an environment where science is celebrated and appreciated.

In addition to organizing its own events, PSF plays an important supportive role by extending financial assistance and technical guidance to universities, colleges, schools, and research organizations wishing to hold similar fairs or exhibitions. This support helps expand the reach of science popularization efforts nationwide, ensures quality standards in event organization, and empowers local institutions to engage their communities in meaningful scientific learning experiences. Overall, PSF’s work in conducting and supporting S&T fairs strengthens scientific culture, promotes innovation, and enhances public understanding of science across Pakistan.
